Tattooing and piercing is not a high risk for immediate medical treatment. Tattoo artists and piercers, who are dealing with their client at the time, are best placed and experienced to deal with any issues of first aid that arise.

The most likely issues could be fainting and vomiting. The practitioners deal with these risks everyday in their normal work environment and will recognise and deal with the symptoms effectively. All practitioners will be provided a contact number for the DSI and OM on arrival and each booth clearly numbered. This will assist with summoning help without leaving their booth.

GWTS will have 4 First Aiders on duty at any time. A large event first aid kit will be available with the OM or at the event main entrance and artist support location.

The OM will attend all first aid incidents and assess on arrival and either

Deliver the necessary first aid.

Request assistance from GWTS team.

Request assistance from Steam team.

Request emergency services.

Radio codes for potential medical incidents are listed below.

The venue itself has numerous ticketed visitors for its exhibitions in the rooms adjacent to Hawksworth and Great Western Hall. They have duty first aiders and policies to deal with medical issues and emergencies and can assist the GWTS team.
